Job Description
Our client, a global technology company, has an immediate need for a GNSS Lab Technician to join its Cedar Rapids, Iowa location.
The company is looking for a Lab Technician to be responsible for supporting our company's ongoing projects. You will be working closely with your team to support the testing and maintenance of all lab equipment at the Cedar Rapids, IA location. To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience maintaining an engineering lab, operating test equipment such as oscilloscope and frequency counter, performing minor board re-work and running/modifying various scripts for HW & SW testing.
Responsibilities:
Maintain GNSS Engineering Lab.
PCs, Mobile Test Phones, Spirent Simulators and Spirent Playbacks
GNSS Signal Equipment (Splitters, Mini-circuit Test Equipment, etc)
Make Minor Hardware mods to devices based upon schematic/layout reviews
Monitoring baseline health via integration testing
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.
Ability to code/understand Python
Ability to make minor Hardware modifications on mobile style devices
A self-driven engineer with good task execution skills to deliver high-quality output in a timely manner
Demonstrated ability to work as a team player as part of a local and globally distributed team
Solid communication and documentation skills
Good understanding of GNSS principles, from signal generation, transmission, reception, measurement construction and final position generation
