Job Description
Our cell biology client is looking for an Azure System Administrator, that will support both on-premise and cloud-based systems and storage infrastructure. This is a contract opportunity and the ideal candidate will work a hybrid schedule with the majority onsite portion located in Branford, CT.

Responsibilities:
- Sustain Azure systems and storage components.
- Oversee on-premise systems and storage, including Netapps, Nutanix, and Windows environments.
- Manage backup systems to ensure data integrity.
- Create and manage Azure virtual machines and storage resources.
- Exercise control over Office 365 and SharePoint platforms.
- Uphold system reliability and optimize performance.
- Implement system configurations in compliance with security and SOX standards.
- Offer on-demand support to the IT support team when required.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5+years of system administration experience.
- Strong understanding of Data Center design, construction, and best practices.
- Expertise in creating PowerShell scripts.
- Extensive understanding of Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Office Suite applications.
- Strong experience and mastery of Microsoft Azure functionalities.
- Extreme comfort troubleshooting, supporting and working on controls within Microsoft SharePoint .
- Demonstrated capabilities in project management, time management, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication proficiencies.
- Previous exposure to firewalls and switches is considered a plus.
- Supplementary certifications in related domains are advantageous.
