Our client, an autonomous driving vehicle company is looking for a Data Scientist that will leverage their operations, product use, and user experience data to enhance performance and service readiness. The person in this role will support the Product and Operations stakeholders as they prepare for commercial launch. This role is critical in prioritizing product features, investigating hypotheses, uncovering insights, and guiding the Product team toward data-driven decisions. You will not only bring strong analysis and experimentation skills but also the curiosity to explore and dig deeper into data, alongside the ownership needed to propose innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with Product, Operations, and Engineering stakeholders to understand product requirements and problem statements
Process, clean, and validate data for analysis
Collaborate with data engineers to improve data collection and transformation methods
Analyze data to assess and diagnose service performance, and implement analytical models in production
Propose, test, and validate hypotheses about the service and user experience in collaboration with Product
Present insights, findings, and solutions to stakeholders
Requirements
BS/MS with 4+ years of data science and analytics experience, or PhD in a related discipline
Proficiency in Python
Proficiency in SQL
Expertise in statistical methods and mathematical models
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, PowerBI)
Experience with experimentation methods (e.g., A/B testing)
Nice to have
Experience with predictive modeling frameworks and machine learning methods
Experience with workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow)
Experience with data warehouse platforms (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks)
Experience with large-scale processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
Experience with large-scale streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis
Expected hourly pay range
$80 - $90/hr
