Job Description
Our client in the autonomous driving vehicle space, is looking for a Platform Engineering Systems Engineer. This person will be involved in creating systems that handle large data volumes and facilitate data processing pipelines for compute-intensive tasks on both CPUs and GPUs. Your expertise will contribute to crafting efficient processes and tooling, enabling Zoox to efficiently scale specialized workloads across on-premises and cloud environments to support their self-driving vehicle service.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing the clients IT infrastructure platform
- Engaging in all stages of service rollout and system design to ensure robustness and ease of maintenance and operation
- Serving as an escalation point for service incidents
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in automation, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and SDLC utilizing tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Git, and Mercurial
- Experience in configuring and maintaining Linux/Unix applications, including web servers, load balancers, storage systems, and databases
- Proficiency in higher-level programming languages, particularly Python
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and tools such as KVM, Docker, or LXC
- Strong Linux administration skills
- Experience with AWS, ECS, Kubernetes
- Familiarity with ELK stack
- Proficiency in TCP/IP network fundamentals
