Our client, a global technology company, has an immediate need for a Business Analyst. This role can sit anywhere in the continental US and is fully remote.
Responsibilities
Work with legal teams and IT teams to understand and confirm business needs, and to develop functional and non-functional requirements for projects, issues or change management requests that can be easily understood.
Create system and business workflows to understand processes, decisions, and current state and future state needs.
Maintain traceability of requirements to track development progress and quality, and to identify testing needs.
Identify and analyze metrics related to functional and feature implementations, and to identify improvement needs.
Closely work with developers on technical designs and provide analysis on tradeoffs between usability, system constraints, and other requirements.
Track progress of assigned tasks, provide status, and report on risks and issues.
Develop and provide input on test cases. Complete testing and review test results to ensure completed development efforts satisfy business needs.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or related role, especially gathering and documenting business requirements for a system design, implementation or enhancement to meet business needs and provide business value.
Excellent problem-solving skills, including use of business analysis techniques and processes, such as: interviewing, workflow or process mapping, data analysis, use cases, and gap analysis.
Basic project management skills, including tracking of tasks on multiple assignments and prioritizing needs.
Excellent written and oral communication, including experience with PowerPoints presentations, speaking during video conferences (Zoom), and speaking with all staff levels.
Familiarity with waterfall and the Agile frameworks, and the software development lifecycle process.
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, JIRA/Confluence or similar tools, data visualization tools, and using enterprise software-as-a-service.
PMP, CSM or CSPO certification preferred.
